WEST COBB GIRLS SOFTBALL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM SPRING 2024 

 Emphasizing Sportsmanship and Fundamentals of the Game 

 This program was started in 1994 by Randy Kendrick, then WCGS President, as an incentive to try and improve participation in the 15+F & 19US age groups.  The basic criteria is simple, you must play a minimum of five years at WCGS (Spring seasons), you must play four out of your last five years (Spring seasons) of eligibility and you must play or coach your last year of eligibility. 

 Potential applicants are identified from the 14+ (Fast-Pitch) registrations. Based on Spring 2024 registration information, your coach will be notified of your potential eligibility near the mid season point. Scholarship award amounts are based on number of season played at WCGS along with any other contributions to the park such as WCGS Community Service. Funding for this program comes primarily from concession profits. The scholarships are awarded at a ceremony to be held in the Summer
