Fall Softball Registration 2025 - Fall 2025

WCGS has seen a very steady increase in registrations every season of every year and we look forward to another big season for Fall 2024.  Our emails and communications channels can only do so much, so if you have neighbors or friends that may be interested in playing softball this season, please mention WCGS to them to spread the word. 

Please keep in mind each season we're having to beg parents/volunteers to sign up to coach teams.  Because of our growth if we do not have the amount of coaches needed for a particular league, we may have to reduce enrollments.  

For players wishing to play up, the option to select that is an add-on near the end of the registration.  In the past, some people were playing up to a higher and more expensive league and not paying the difference.  So this season, you pay the difference up front and if your child is permitted to play up you are good to go.  If you child does not score high enough or there is no room in the older group, you will be refunded.

Dates:

• 8/2 - Assessments (8/3 backup date)
• 8/5 - 8/8 - Drafts
• 8/11 - Practices Begin
• 9/6 - Opening Day
• 10/20 - Tournament Starts

Overview for birthdates...remember you can select play ups in the "Add Ons" section and if they qualify they can play an age group up.

Pitching/Catching Lessons - Fall 2025

Fall 2025 Pitching & Catching Lessons for players registered in 10u, 13u, and 14+ age groups.

If you have a player that is interested in pitching or catching and/or wants to get more reps in a group setting with a coach, sign up for our Fall lessons on the West Cobb Girls Softball website. 

Cost: $35 per player(included are 6 sessions @1 hour per session)   Dates: Sundays 

Field 2: 5PM Pitching - Beginner level , 6PM Pitching - Beginner to intermediate,

Field1: 5PM Catching - Any level

Lessons:

8/17 and 8/24

10/5

Make-up dates: (DUE to Weather)

10/12 and 10/19

 Helpful info:

For Pitching Lessons: Pitchers need to provide their own balls and some (typically an adult) to catch for the lesson. The person typically brings a bucket to sit on to catch. Pitchers will not be allowed to participate in the lesson without their own catcher.

Catchers: Catchers need their own equipment as NO equipment is provided. If you do not have your own, please ask your coach to borrow the teams gear. 

If you have multiple pitchers in your family, either sign up for multiple sessions or bring a second catcher for the additional pitcher and have them in the same time slot.

You will receive an email from the park to notify you what field your lessons will occur on prior to the scheduled date and time of the first lesson.

Concession stand will not be open so bring plenty of water for your lesson.
