West Cobb Girls Softball offers both Spring and Fall recreational softball programs for youth girls in the northwest Atlanta Georgia metro counties of Cobb, Paulding and Cherokee.

2015 Spring Registration


With almost 700 girls in age groups between 4 and 19 years of age, West Cobb Girls Softball offers both Spring and Fall recreation programs, along with Summer all-stars. Lost Mountain Park offers 9 well maintained fields along with 5 batting cages and 2 concession stands. Our program offers your daughter an opportunity to learn the game, grow as a player, and make new and lasting friendships.

A player must be at least 4 years old and no older than 19 years old (as of 12/31/2014).

  • Saturday, January 17 (EARLY BIRD DEADLINE)
    • $20 off (8U and older)
    • $10 off (6U and younger)
  • Saturday, January 24 (NORMAL DEADLINE)
    • Regular fees apply
  • Saturday, January 31 (DEADLINE TO BE DRAFT ELIGIBLE)
    • Additional $20 late fee applies to all age groups
    • Starts at 12:01am on Sunday, January 25
  • Walk-in registrations will also be taken at the park during skills assessments (see schedule below)
    • Late fees will apply on January 31
  • If you need to pay by check, just e-mail registration@wcgsoftball.com to make arrangements.
  • Late registrations will be taken until an age group is full OR Friday, March 6 (whichever comes first)

Skill Assessments (Schedule)

  • Will be held Saturday, January 24 (Postponed)
    • Make-up held on Saturday, January 31
  • Participation is MANDATORY (see exceptions below) to be draft eligible
    • Must attend ONE session
    • Not applicable for Sugar & Spice (4-5 yr old)
  • Must bring $75 concession deposit checks (if applicable)

  • $25 "Out-of-County" fee applies to all non-Cobb County residents
    • $20 Late Fee applies beginning Sunday, January 25
  • $25 sibling discount (does NOT apply for Sugar & Spice or Sr. Sugar & Spice)
  • $25 Out-of-County fee if you do not reside in Cobb County


  • Drafts: Monday, February 2 - Thursday, February 5
  • Practice begins Saturday, February 7
  • Opening Day: Saturday, March 7
  • NO Games on Saturday, March 21 (Travel Team Tournament)
  • Picture Day (Saturday, March 28)
  • NO Games for Spring Break (Saturday, April 4 - Saturday, April 11)
  • Last Regular Season Game: Thursday, April 30
  • Post-Season Tournament (Saturday, May 2 - Saturday, May 9)

Coaches are needed!

Last season several age groups were limited in size due to the lack of Head Coaches. Spring 2015 available spots will be filled based on PLAYER REGISTRATION DATE. Signup EARLY to ensure your spot!

Coach Registration

If you are interested in applying for a head or assistant coaching position, click HERE to register today!  Any head or assistant coach that registers, is approved by the board, and assigned a team BEFORE the drafts will be exempt from participating in their team's assigned concession duty.  There can be only one official head and assistant coach per team.  

Registration fee (for player on coached team) will also be refunded for HEAD COACHES ONLY upon completion of the coaching clinic (Date/Time TBD) hosted by WCGS.

Concession Fee Policy

This season we will offer two concession duty options. First, a $75 concession duty deposit check (see Concession Process for additional details). Upon completion of your assigned duty, your deposit check will be destroyed.  This deposit check will be collected at the time of registration or (if using Online Registration) on the first day of practice.

The second option is a non-refundable $50 fee. If you select this option you will NOT be assigned concession duty for this season.  This fee will be collected at time of registration (for both online and walk-in).

Concessions fees are per player unless sisters are on the same team.

Slow Pitch Notice - UPDATE (12/9/2014)

Due to a lack of registrations for 10U Slow Pitch in the past few years, we will not be offering it this season.  In order to align with all-star age groups, we will be offering 13U (9-13) and 19U (14-19) slow-pitch age groups.  We will also have a skills assessment for 19US this season.

Refund policy

  • Full refunds will be made upon request until Saturday, January 31.
  • Full refunds for season ending injuries will be made until Sunday, March 22
  • NO other refund requests will be considered
